Community and Environment

Peak Resources began exploration in the Ngualla area in September 2009 and since that time it has actively engaged in a wide range of community development projects. These projects have directly benefited the Ngwala Village, the local Primary and Secondary Schools, and the surrounding district. Peak Resources believes that it has a responsibility to help improve the lives of the people and communities in which it operates through employment, utilisation of local contractors and suppliers and by financing or assisting in community projects. To date, Peak Resources has funded, assisted with, or donated to, the following projects in the Ngwala Village, Ward and surrounding area:

SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

  • Construction of 2 new classrooms
  • Refurbishment of 5 existing classrooms
  • Construction and donation of new school desks
  • Donation of beds and mattresses
  • Donation of textbooks, stationary and sports equipment

CONSTRUCTION OF TWO TEACHERS HOUSES


OTHER PROGRAMS

  • Donation of new football kits and equipment
  • Donations and assistance for official visits
  • Emergency medical transport
  • Delegate transport for official meetings
  • Village water supply maintenance
  • Road maintenance
  • Assistance with airstrip preparation and maintenance
